Pendulum Units

A quartz pendulum unit is a component found in clocks. It combines the precision of quartz movement with the visual appeal of a swinging pendulum. Unlike traditional mechanical clocks that rely on gears and escapements to regulate time, quartz units utilize a battery movement to keep accurate time. Quartz movements do not require a pendulum for timekeeping. However these units often feature a decorative pendulum that swings back and forth beneath the clock face. This simulated pendulum motion adds a traditional and nostalgic touch to the clock’s design. They run on one or more batteries. Thus making them convenient and low-maintenance timepieces. The batteries provide the electrical energy to drive the quartz movement. As well as power any additional features, such as chime melodies or decorative lighting.
